Episode / Snap One Manuals
Section titled “Episode / Snap One Manuals”| File | Description | Source |
|---|---|---|
| EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R_Installation_Manual.pdf | 2015 installation manual, 12 pages | adeogroup.it |
| EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R_Control4_Install_Guide.pdf | 2024 Rev B install guide, 12 pages | docs.control4.com |
| EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R_Control_Protocol.pdf | IR hex codes for all 4 device IDs | adeogroup.it |
| EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500_Owners_Manual.pdf | Original non-R model owner’s manual | snapav.com |

D2Audio / Renesas Datasheets
Section titled “D2Audio / Renesas Datasheets”| File | Description | Source |
|---|---|---|
| D2-1_Family_Audio_SOC_Datasheet.pdf | D2-1 family overview datasheet (1.08 MB) | renesas.com |
| D2-81412_431_433_434_435_Full_Datasheet.pdf | Full D2-81431 family datasheet (1.18 MB) | renesas.com |
| D2-1_Family_EEPROM_SPI_Flash_AppNote_R32AN0006.pdf | Writing to EEPROM from external MCU (critical for understanding firmware update) | renesas.com |
| D2-8141x_Functional_Diagram.png | D2-81431 internal block diagram | renesas.com |
The EEPROM app note (R32AN0006) is particularly important. It describes the exact I2C procedure an external microcontroller uses to write firmware and DSP coefficients to the D2-81431’s external NVM, which is the mechanism the LPC2103F uses to update the D2Audio’s EEPROM in this amplifier.
Firmware Update Guides (Not Applicable)
Section titled “Firmware Update Guides (Not Applicable)”Two firmware update guides were downloaded from SnapAV for reference, but neither applies to this amplifier.
| File | Description | Actual Product |
|---|---|---|
| Amplifier_Firmware_Update_Guide.pdf | Autonomic M-series amplifiers (M-801e, M-401e, M-120e) | Network-connected amps, Telnet-based update |
| Firmware_Update_Guide.pdf | MMS (Mirage Media Server) | Network media servers, Telnet or DealerZone portal |
The EA-AMP-SUB-1D-500R has no network connectivity whatsoever, so neither the Telnet-based nor OvrC cloud-based update procedures used by other Snap One products apply here. The firmware update path for this unit, if it exists publicly at all, would be through the USB serial port.
